My Pregnancy Journal for Baby #2: Week 29

Baby at 29 Weeks:

Baby BOY is as big as an Acorn Squash!

Had to have the pic of Agnes giving hugs to her baby ;)

Baby boy is getting a little cramped in there, since he's growing so fast. He's growing white fat deposits under his skin, and his energy is surging because of it. Feel subtle twitches? It's baby hiccuping!

My Symptoms: I'm big. Acid Reflux sucks... even with Zantac it's still there :( bathroom visits every half hour. Leg ad foot cramps... having to go to the bathroom a lot (I am hydrating like crazy when I'm home all day so consuming 90 oz. of water will do that, lol). Regular pregnancy stuff, though. Just feeling bigger, but I can still shave my legs and paint my toenails so... win.

Maternity clothes? Yes, and I may have to get some more for summer. That Old Navy visit was very helpful for me to know more of what the every day clothes I will need in the next few months.

Sleep? Pretty good, considering this time last pregnancy was very tough for me with the acid reflux and the hip pain, but thankfully the snoogle body pillow has really helped my comfort and even when I find myself partly on my back, it keeps me tilted a bit so as to keep baby safe and not cut off blood flow.

Best moment last week? Getting some drawings done for a friend's bathroom. I drew very cute signs for her little girl's bathroom that she can paint... as well as a mural on her bathroom wall that she is almost done painting. I feel accomplished and more creative than ever!

Movement? A lot! And one particular day was very freaky... it was like I saw a hand or foot print just sticking out of my stomach... yeesh! But yes, he's active!

Weight Gain: Last weigh in: 154 lbs. Getting up there :/

Cravings: Once I start eating, I can't seem to stop... so I try not to eat too much but every afternoon is the same story. At least I purchase lots of fruit so I have to eat them before they go bad.

Food Aversions: Still Cilantro and Basil. I guess a lot of the common spices like Oregano, Cumin, Parsley, etc. are on my list of aversions. That hasn't changed and I haven't found any new aversions.

What made me cry this week: Oh man, this past Sunday was crazy. We went to 8:30am mass and for whatever reason I cannot get Agnes and myself ready on time even when I wake up at 6:30! Paul and Agnes don't get along that well, she's a true mommy's girl, so when Paul tried to pick her up to carry her down the three flights of stairs form our apt. to our car, that's when all heck broke loose and she lost it, Paul lost it, and I cried all the way to church because he was so upset. That will be a morning I will remember for awhile (even kissing Paul during the sign of peace was a struggle and normally I get over things by then). It even took a while after mass to get over the whole thing.

Medical Stuff: From what my doctor says, all looks well :)

Something I am excited about: Learning to paint with acrylics!
