My Pregnancy Journal for Baby #2: Week 30

Baby at 30 Weeks:

Baby BOY is as big as a Cucumber!

Baby boy's skin is getting smoother, but his brain is getting wrinklier to make way for all that essential brain tissue. He's now strong enough to grasp a finger!

My Symptoms: I feel bigger and bigger... and look bigger with each week (or is it day?). Acid Reflux is bad, but not as bad as last pregnancy where I didn't take anything for it. I am getting varicose veins and putting grapefruit oil on them but I might have started too late :( Acne, itchy tummy, hormones... blah blah blah Oh and I'm exhausted all day every day :(

Maternity clothes? Yes... and I'm so thankful to have purchased maternity jean shorts for summer form my Christmas gift cards!

Sleep? Good! Just the wriggling out of my snoogle when I have to go to the bathroom every 2 hours at night is a challenge but no insomnia as of now.

Best moment last week? Taking a day trip to STL for Paul's sister's HS graduation. It was a very fun day for Agnes and she got to see two of her Great Aunts and one of her Great Grandmothers.

Movement? A lot! And now it's noticeable through clothing, my belly looks like a wave at times. Also, baby boy is starting to get hiccups every day.

Weight Gain: I weighed myself at my in laws over the weekend... I was at 159 lbs. so from last weigh in, 3 lbs. gained.

Cravings: Any type of food I think looks good, I eat. Then I eat some more. Shopping has been tempting and I have given in a few times... i.e. CHIPS!!

Food Aversions: Still Cilantro and Basil. I guess a lot of the common spices like Oregano, Cumin, Parsley, etc. are on my list of aversions. That hasn't changed and I haven't found any new aversions.

What made me cry this week: No crying this week.

Medical Stuff: All looks well. My next appointment isn't for a couple of weeks because my doctor is taking a well deserved vacay.

Something I am excited about: Right now? Sleep :)

Something I am anxious about: Another labor... I'm getting a bit nervous.
